Our World Headquarters: Foscoe NC: the precise center of the art world!

We're now the proud hosts of the coolest ten year + art project around. My Friend Clark installed one of his ART-O-MAT machines in our gallery on July 14, (ours is known as "Old Port") and we have been Ker-Plunking Culture here at artpurveyors.com world headquarters ever since! These machines are in some pretty prestigious places, like the Whitney Museum, Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Turchin Center for Visual Art, The Andy Warhol Museum, the Gamekeeper Restaurant, and now...Fine Art Row in beautiful Downtown Foscoe.

Art-o-mat machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art. There are 82 active machines in various locations throughout the country. The experience of pulling the knob alone is quite a thrill, but you also walk away with an original work of art. What an easy way to become an art collector. There are around 400 contributing artists from 10 different countries currently involved in the Art*o*mat project.

My house is now fuller than ever before of wonderful, tiny art objects...and we have created lots of new ART-O ADDICTS around the greater Foscoe area as well. If you're ever in the neighborhood, stop in and Ker-Plunk something...you'll be hooked too!
