"Color is probably my favorite
component in art; it is truly the reflection to the artist's
soul. In this restless world I like to paint calm and peaceful
scenes to convey the same feelings to the viewer. Nature provides
an endless array of color and amazement: the stillness of a moonrise,
the glory of a sunset, the ever-changing colors of the mountains
and the sea."
I (Von Luderitz) studied watercolors
with Bev Jamison in the 80's, focusing on Joseph Albers' color
theory. After a break for my ultimate creation, my children,
I rediscovered the attributes of watercolors and the wisdom of
the prophets. The contribution of both brought me to the place
in my life where I am very comfortable, peaceful and content.
